Do you live
within travelling distance of Coggeshall and have time to spare? Are you
interested in the conservation of an ancient building and its presentation
to the public? Would you like to make new friends with a common set of
interests? Then why not consider becoming a National Trust volunteer?
There are
many ways in which you can help, including:

Visitor
reception and stewarding,
·
Ground and
garden maintenance,
·
Researching the
history of the barn,
·
Interpretation
and displays,
·
Conserving a collection of craft woodworking tools.
We need someone to undertake
clerical work in connection with the Saunders Tools Collection The task is
to produce hand-written labels from computer records for use in the
eventual display of the collection. The skills needed are neat handwriting
and accuracy in transcribing the information. Some familiarity with
computers would be an advantage. The work will take place in the Tools
Collection Administrator's office/workshop suite at Tolleshunt D'Arcy,
near Maldon. The working times will be by arrangement with him.
