Visitor Information

  • Coggeshall Grange Barn is open for the 2012 season between 1st April and 4th November.  Normal opening times are 1pm-5pm from Thursday to Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays.  The Barn may be closed on some Saturdays - please ring 01376 562226 for details.  Other opening times may apply on special event days.

  • The Barn is just off Grange Hill, opposite Grange Farm, marked on the map below.  It is well signposted in Coggeshall village and has ample parking space.  The Ordnance Survey grid references are 168:TL848223 X 584892 Y 222173, latitude N 51:52:03, longitude E 0:41:03.  The Postcode is CO6 1RE.

  • Admission is free to members of the National Trust and its affiliated organisations.  Other visitors may purchase tickets to view the Barn only or a joint ticket with admission to Paycocke’s, an early 16th Century merchant’s house in Coggeshall village.  We recommend that you leave your vehicle in the Barn car park because street parking is limited outside Paycocke's.

  • The Barn is passed by the Essex Way, the 81 mile (130 kilometre) footpath between Epping and Harwich.  The route is marked by the red diamonds on the map below.
